Photographing children can be difficult.
Photographing children in public, unplanned, without the parents permission or knowledge…… can be dangerous.
There is something about the wonder of amazement in the expression of a young person when they see something for the first time. And sometimes, like with this girl, they will help you be playing into the camera for you almost modeling themselves ….. without so much as a single word exchanged.
I very rarely take photo’s of children when I am out alone, I don’t want to put off or scare the parents…. and the perceptions seems different when you have a group taking shots. They people around seem a bit more relaxed.
Well this young lady was more than relaxed and more than happy to continue to pose for me for some time. All I had to say to her mom where two words…..”She’s adorable” The mom beamed, the girl modeled….. and it was five minutes in time that I captured enough great shots, I could devote an entire week of posts alone to her…… maybe more.
