Welcome to my world.

Not literally of course, but bits and pieces of it captured in fractions of time. It is here where I take those moments place them all together.

I have always had a passion for pictures in one form or another. Movies, photography, large format and small..... I have found fascination and appreciation for this medium most of my adult life. I did not, however, act on it.

A little over a year ago, my wife had purchased a digital SLR camera for me as an anniversary gift. A nikon D60. A very nice, compact and capable camera set up for the hobbyist and casual photog. I was sure this would be more than enough for me to go out and take great pictures and capture family events.
The problem? It was.... and then some.

Baby Bingo

After returning from a few days in the Bay area of California, I am reminded how small the twin cities are in perspective to the rest of the metropolitan areas of the country. While as a whole, Minneapolis and St. Paul rank as the 16th largest market in the country, but as our two cities are counted together, we get a smaller feel in our place in the market.

This really relates to the unusual people you may see walking the streets here. Sure, we have them, but not like other cities across the country.

Take Baby Bingo here for example. I have seen him walking the streets of Minneapolis a few weeks in a row now. I am not sure what his story is…. but I know I want to talk to him one of these times in passing. He does not seem to be looking for anything….. he just walks the streets honking his horn and sometimes waving at people.

He definitely ranks as one of Minneapolis’s more unusual charecters. Tomorrow, I’ll post one I found on Pier 39.

Listen people dont write stuff about me that Is not true such as chick n wing he says I copyied him bye getting a horn all good pro clowns know that a horn Is aclowns tool to make noise with to talk with…so that bum chick n wing Is jelous of me I am better than chick n wing because he knows I would take his customers from him no worries I have my own and alot of repeats from last year as well this why he lied to the farmers maket staff because I am funnier than chick n wing i also put on a better show than him the balloon part we tied the face paint I am better than him over all I am a better clown and my prices are lower his as well as most clowns

yann thanks for the games we played one the mall that was fun I can never say thanks enough because I only meet people Like you once In while there are aLot of mean people on the mall some are nice some are mean you are nice and cool thanks brother your friend for ever baby bingo the clown

I have been very busy this year with parties for the kids putting a smile on there face and making balloon animals and doing the magic as well as comedy I Love to make kids smile Its very cool to see the kids smile there the reason there are pro clowns god bles everyone and to the Minneapolis Police uniform division thankyou for being out there babybingothe clown

chik n wing thats a Lie Ihave always had a horn Ijust never used It and sometimes til this day dont use It because It makes to much Noise your just jelous of me…see I have one thing over you my dad ..my dad was a great clown better than you and me put together see my dad was trained by Emmit Kelly the best clown In the bussiness and I got some of training from him and other clowns so Quit hateing on me because you know I am good that Lady on the north side I dont need her spot …and now I know It was you that Lied on me telling audrey that I was a meth head maybe you you are the methhead freako sicko I have been really busy and I dont have time for your Lies you know what you got nothing on me this IS babybingo the clown

the photo of the clown on the nicolette mall Is me but I have up graded from this uniform to much better stuff and my makeup Is much Inproved the best time to see me on the mall Is thursdays after 10am at formers market on the mall til then god bless peace be with you oh and one more thing smile

wow great photo. I was Clowning downtown today and I met him, we had good fun playing a few games together for a little while.

Allright, great website, I’ll definitely visit it again, And if you see another Clown in the streets, it might be me, so you’re welcome to take photos!

I just saw and photographed this guy last night as he was having a conversation with the police about a drunk guy that was just shooed out of Peavey Plaza. I liked the look of a clown having a serious discussion with the officer, but when I moved in to take a picture he spotted me and mugged. In a sad-clown sort of way.

So his name is Baby Bingo! I had no idea. I have a wide-angle I took at the same time, it’ll run on Mitchster in a week or so. Great catch, I love his “I’m just going to work” countenance.
Not only does he have competing colors and patterns on his clothes, but his Target shopping bag also has the same size but different pattern.
